M/s Dutta and Dasgupta is a partnership firm incorporated in 1985. The promoters of the firm are qualified engineers and are first generation entrepreneurs. The firm initially started with manufacturing and marketing of agricultural implements having future plans of setting up large integrated firm for agricultural production and agri processing. Due to circumstantial conditions prevailing at that time the company diverted to pure engineering field and started producing tool room products mainly press tool, jigs & fixtures and special purpose machinery. The firm has earned a good reputation in technical excellence and quality of the product. The company is regularly exporting products in several countries like UK, USA, Canada and UAE. The company is in sound financial condition now and has decided to diversify in agricultural field mainly in mango plantation and vegetable production for domestic marketing and exporting to different countries in Middle East at the initial stage. Additionally, the company has developed a state of art integrated Pack House (HWT) with a cold storage facility in Bankura District of West Bengal and has already acquired latest HWT (Hot Water Treatment) machineries for this purpose. The company is a registered member of APEDA (Agricultural & Processed Foods Products Export Development Authority) Govt of India, as a manufacturer cum merchant exporter.

Developing Organic Cultivation–As part of the agricultural activity, the company has acquired agricultural land of around 100 acres in Bankura district of West Bengal to develop organic cultivation. Presently we have three gardens located at Shushinia, Menjua and Hirband in Bankura. There are approximately 7000 mango trees of different varieties like Amrapali, Mallika and Dashehari, Himsagar, Langra, Fazli, Tulshi Bhog, Pusha Arunima. We are enthusiastic to produce our country`s most famous mango variety - Alphanso Mango in our garden and have successfully experimented in producing few numbers of quality Alphanso Mango in our garden. We are hopeful to start commercial production of Alphanso Mango from 2023. We are producing a vast range of organic vegetables as part of our intercropping agricultural plan. The company has Organic Certificates of NPOP standard for producing organic F&V. Apart from organic cultivation, we will also be producing conventional fruits and vegetables strictly following the MRL (Minimum Residual Level) guidelines issued by APEDA, GOI. We are desirous to give our customers quality and hygienic products from our own gardens.

Future Plan - The Company is having a future plan to develop one food processing plant for fruits and vegetables in Bankura district within next 5 years.
